Fontbonne University

Fontbonne University is a co-ed Catholic institution of approximately 2,300 students in Clayton, a suburb of St. Louis. It is a member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

History and academics

Fontbonne was founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, and today offers 28 majors, 18 minors and 11 master's degree programs -- including a nationally renowned deaf education major. It the 2006 edition of U.S. News best college rankings, Fontbonne is ranked #64 in the category of Universities-Masters Midwest.

Fontbonne is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
