Fountain Park is a neighborhood in North St. Louis. It is located two blocks north of the Central West End with Martin Luther King on the north, Delmar on the south, Walton on the east, and Kingshighway on the west. As of the 2000 census, it had a population of 1,804. The area is named for the city park that contains a large fountain, which is at the center of the neighborhood.
Fountain Park is entirely in the 18th Aldermanic Ward.
The park is named for the beautiful, multi-tiered fountain nested within. The sculpture was reproduced from a renowned fountain located in Europe. Within Fountain Park is an eleven-foot, bronze statue of Martin Luther King, Jr. that was designed by St. Louis sculpter Rudoph Torrini.
